BLANKS

PROLOUGE*
I can still remember getting my first skate deck. It started out in CCS (since that little catalog was my first skate shop) and choosing the coolest graphic was a necessity in the beginning of my skate career. This stuck with me for a long time. I never cared about the size or shape of the deck (which I learned was dumb to do), just as long as it had a sick picture.
Anyways, once I began buying my own decks with my own money, I learned fast that decks are kinda expensive. Especially if you were a kinda-chubby-learning-how-to-skate-and-will-break-a-deck-in-a-week-kid like me. One of my friends later on told me about a new kind of skate deck: BLANK.
This seemed so absurd to me. "Why would you want to skate on something that didn't look cool?" I would ask him. He would just shrug his shoulders and say, "Still as piece of wood under me."
I thought about that for so long. It seemed just so perfect. Paying less for a skateboard that will break in the same amount of time as any other deck. I immediately began buying blank/shop decks.
POINT OF STORY
I love skating my blank decks. It wasn't until some stupid guy from my local skatepark told me that I was apparantly not supporting the professionals with my blank deck purchases. I felt a little guilty, thinking that I had been robbing my favorite pros of their money.
HOWEVER
Neal Boyd has taken his time to look into this myth and present his proof in a nicely fashioned flash website. I really recommend reading what he has to say.
It may save you some cash.
*If you read this, thanks. I appreciate anyone who takes the time in reading my crap.

Sublime-inal Reunion

Well, it looks like one of the top reggae/punk/ska/smooth/whatever band Sublime is making a comeback.
I guess they have had a few shows already, maybe as a jam sesh or something, but with a new singer. I don't know about this guy. Seems ok. But still not gonna be a Bradely Nowell...
