is the message I kept on getting anytime I wanted to open up my Opera browser. 3 days with countless Google searches, reading forum page after forum page, and still no luck.

I decided to just uninstall all of Opera, delete the registry values and any other data still left after unistall, and then reinstall with a clean slate.

Turns out, that did the trick. Yay! So now I'm happy to be online again. Photos coming slowly but surely.

How to tip in a restaurant

Ok, today is a simple lesson. Some of you may think you already know how to do this. I'm sure you may have a few things to learn from this as well. Today's lesson is
HOW TO TIP IN A RESTAURANT

1. Recieve bill, check, whatever you want to call it, from your server. This should be easy, since you don't have to do anything but wait for it.

2. Look for the total amount of the entire meal. Usually, this is located near the bottom of the bill, maybe bolded to "pop" out at you, and it may be in a little larger text so you can read it better. Once you've found this, continue.

3. MATH PART!!!! Don't worry, no calculus (or even Algebra) in this. Just simply move the decimal over once to your left (my right), and then double that amount.

4. MORE MATH!!!! Now just add what you got for step 3 with the original amount you saw in step 2, and leave the total total amount for the server.

That's it!!! Now, this does have a few issues:

- if you used a coupon, got some discount, or whatever, make sure you take in account the money you shaved off. That is, do some more math, find out how much was taken off (the bill usually shows you), and add that to the total amount for step 2. It's not like those coupons made the food disappear. The cooks still cooked it, the food runners still ran it, and the server still had to make sure you still liked it. So please, DON'T FORGET THIS!!!!!! And then continue to step 3.

- there is also the factor of the server actually being good or whatnot. If there is a case where you feel you shouldn't tip the amount you got from step 3, simply subtract a reasonable amount (depending on how bad the service was), and leave that with the total. Easy.

- DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT EVER LEAVE NOTHING FOR A TIP! It doesn't prove anything. This just shows how much of a cheap bastard you are. If you want to show how upset you are, just leave a few pennies to really piss off your horrible server.

- if you do find yourself without enough money for the total AND tip, then you have two options:
1. Let the server know how good they were, and then explain how much of
an idiot you are for not bringing enough money to a restaurant.
2. Just stay home anytime you want to eat out. Seriously, you don't deserve
to go out and eat. Just do us all a favor, and stay home.

Well, that's that! With these few simple steps, even YOU can showoff your tipping skills in front of anyone (especially your server)! If you, for some dumb reason, don't agree with this whole spiel, then I don't ever want to see you sitting in my section. I will spit in your food. ;)

EOS!!!!

The End of the Semester has finally come upon me!!! Now all I gotta hope for are some good grades so I don't have to repeat this horrible nightmare schedule.

YES

This is crazy. It looks like a meteor, but I don't know. I've seen this twice, and each time its happened, the sky has lit up completely with a sky blue. Whatever, here's a clip...and proof, I guess:

Stupid program

I know this blog was suppose to be about my photography, but this was something that interupted my photog adventure.

HW3

There it is. I even added Frost for entertainment.

This program was such a pain. 6 classes, each with a header file, and had to use inheritence, friend classes, persistence, and even a Test function that made it go so slow! It was pretty bad, and even made me a little crazy. Seriously, it did. If I wasn't on my laptop going crazy working on it, I was constantly thinking about it everywhere else! Ughhh...well, now its over. And I'm ready for the next one. If anyone wants to see the code (may God be with you when you try and read it), then drop me an e-mail: davidnewtonphotog@gmail.com

Photos coming real soon now.

US Court System = dumb

ugh...I hate going to court. No matter what reason, whether good or bad, it will always suck just sitting in the room waiting for some guy to come and determine our fate by some so-called "facts". Anyways, I have some photos.

You can always find some fun in the town of Boynton.

I am a loser...

Not a very complicated program, but I still feel kinda proud as this will save some time for me to post photos on websites. So, here we go:

#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
#include <string>

using namespace
std;

int
main () {
string filename, line, imgsrc = "<img src=\"", end = "\">";
cout << "NOTE: You must have the text file in the same folder as this executable!!" << endl;
cout << "What is the name of your file? (inlcuding the .txt)" <<endl;
cin >> filename;
ifstream fin (filename.c_str());//old C string style
ofstream fout("converted.txt");
if
(!fout) {
cout << "Cannot open output file." << endl;
return
1;
}

if
(fin.is_open())
{

while
(!fin.eof())
{

getline (fin,line);
//cout << line << endl;
line = imgsrc + line;//add the <img src = " part
if(line == imgsrc){
//ignores the blank lines, if there are any
}
else
{
line = line + end;//adds the "> part
fout << line << endl << endl;//add a space for convience
}
}

cout << "tags added" << endl;
fout.close();
fin.close();
}

else
cout << "Unable to open file" << endl;

system("PAUSE");
return
0;
}

and here is a photo of it:

Yea, so that was it. If you don't understand this, well, whatever. But if anyone would like to use the program, just send me an e-mail to davidnewtonphotog@gmail.com

I AM A SLACKER

Dang, its been a real long time since i've updated this. I've uploaded a ton of new (and old...) photos since the last update, but I'm only putting up my favorite on here. So, here we go:

Haha, i guess I have a lot of favorites...whoops. Anyways, I just made my own program to add the <img = "photo link"> tag to how ever many photos I want. Yay...i'm a loser.

M.I.A./O-town Trip

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?

I got to go skating for once? How did that happen?

(i requested this weekend off 3 weeks ago...thank God)

So I call up my friend, Kevin Shealy, asking where he wanted to go. Miami is his answer. I was a little iffy on that, considering my last trip ended with Dorsa and I in jail...tighttttt. Anyways, got some people to go with us (Steven, Dylan, and Juan the filmer). Started at Bayside, which I never knew was a warm-up spot.
Steven got this 5-0 on triangle:
5-0

But shortly after that, more lil ones show up at the spot, resulting in a boot from the cops. Which happened the rest of the M.I.A. trip. Awesome...
check out the tat

Orlando was the next stop for my vacation. Leca and Cordell decided they would like to join in on the fun. Eamon too, but he had already left and was in Orlando at this particular time. At 4 A.M. we arrive in O-town, in old memories Apt.305. Awwwwww...my room is still a mess

We started getting our skate on at some gap in Longwood (i.e. "Longwood Gap"). Leca was throwin this beautiful tre's down,
"GET IN DA PURPLE CHOPPER!"*
but only stuck on it. I still heart you dude...DBL...

Thanks to the rain, we had to head back to the apt. and wait for it to stop and dry. After hours of waiting, we decided to go to that one rail in UCF. Shealy and Leca were getting some tricks ready for it, but we got the boot from some UCF cop who decided to listen in on our BME Pain Olympics 2 conversation before letting us go. Kinda odd...

But all I got is this warm-up photo (hence all the crap laying everywhere):
Holy Fisheye

The next day met us with Dorsa, Stencil, Joe, Randy, Travis, Matt Blast, and Jack. We skated some bank spot and people got clips. I shot MF there, so...coming soon...

Then we went downtown and decided to get this shot with this kid:
BFFs
...rad

We tried to skate the rest of downtown, but ended up getting stopped by a downtown cop and getting tresspassing warnings from the garage. Lame...

Instead of skating downtown Orlando, we decided to skate downtown Winter Park, which is still technically Orlando, but whatever...

Travis, Randy, and Shealy all got some nice clips (especially Travis' last clip). I would have photos here of the sesh, but I'm waiting to see if they are good enough for print. Cross fingers...

And now I am back home, gonna drop off film tomorrow and hopefully get in soon. So, until then...byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
